In my latest article for The Coastal Post, I talk about my visit with Jillian Piccirilli in her Oakland studio. I met Jillian in the art program at Cornell University, where we both went for undergrad. I was excited when she moved to Oakland, especially since we share similar interests in our artistic practices. We talked about her recent work with all of its family history and fusion of painting, photography, and printmaking.
