I am very pleased to share that my work will be exhibited in London for the first time. Three of my pieces will be at the artsdepot for 2017 Open in the Apthorp Gallery. The artsdepot shares Nether Street with me. It’ll be exciting to walk down and see my work.

All three pieces are about me grappling with loss and place. They still feel salient and fresh, even if they’ve been made over the last three years.

Juniperus virginiana (San Francisco sill) is the view from our apartment into the backyard–a view I miss. I’d watch the San Francisco fog whirl its way in through the trees. It was the beginning of my explorations into the flora of the area as well as back home in 2015.

Run Rappahannock (Megan) is the river that runs through Fredericksburg, Virginia, my hometown. It was a rainy, muddle day when I went for a run to clear my head.

Driveway (Winter) was one of the first paintings I finished here in London, having completed its underpainting in San Francisco just before we moved. It is what I see every time I back a car out of the driveway, always a good bye image in my head.
